Description
I photographed this man in the mountains of northern Luzon, the largest island in the Philippines. He is an Ifugao Indian warrior. Through my guide Robert, an Ifugao warrior in his 20s I inquired about his age but was told he didn't know because when he was born they did not record age. He could barley see because of cataracts but was kind enough to sit and allow to photograph him along with his friends.

He can barely see, but his expression - which you captured in such a brilliant way - really tells us so much about soul...! BIG F/V

Fantastic! I let this comment stand for every one in this collection. I love old faces, others more than my own :-)

Thanks. Renata. I know that is a sadness in the eyes, a sadness for the death of the way of the warrior.

Thanks. My only regret is I did not speak the language. He as were the others with him so gentle and kind.
